Tipton works hard, but it also enjoys and takes time to play. Tipton Country Club has a nine-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse with year-round activity for members. In May 2017, a new swimming pool was opened with a large sun deck and pavilion area.
The city also features a community swimming pool. There is an abundance of streams and rivers nearby for fishing. Tipton is 4 miles north of Manito Lake, an 80 acre lake surrounded by 800 acres of upland wildlife area owned by the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Tipton City Park features a playground, ballfields, fishing lake, horseshoe pit and much more.
Tipton is within 30 miles of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, 100 miles east of Kansas City and 140 miles west of St. Louis.
