A public library, the Price James Memorial Library, serves all families in the Tipton R-VI School District.
The city park features the Lloyd Carter baseball field, the Cardinal softball field for both fast and slow pitch, basketball court, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, a lake with walking path around it, gazebo and several shelter houses. Shelter houses can be reserved by calling Tipton City Hall at (660)433-2323.
Tipton R-VI Schools and St. Andrews Catholic school continue to grow and improve academically. Tipton High School students have the opportunity to attend State Fair Community College in Sedalia, MO through their Career and Technical Center.
